Wild Heart Brewing Captures Four "Best of the Southeast" Titles at United States Beer Tasting Championship

Wild Heart Brewing has been awarded four prestigious "Best of the Southeast" honors at the United States Beer Tasting Championship's (USBTC) 31st Annual Winter Competition, held recently in Boston, Massachusetts.

The USBTC, established in 1994, is one of America's most respected independent beer evaluation organizations. Unlike traditional brewing competitions, the Championship employs a unique blind-tasting format where professional beer tasters evaluate entries without knowledge of brewery names, labels, or reputations. This unbiased approach ensures that beers are judged purely on their sensory qualities and style adherence.

In this year's Winter Competition, 562 beers from 209 breweries across the nation competed across 19 distinct beer categories. Wild Heart Brewing achieved a perfect record, earning recognition in all four categories entered:

  • Oktoberfest '25 – Best of the Southeast Vienna/Märzen Lager

  • BBA Hazel – Best of the Southeast Dessert/Pastry Beer

  • DDH-214 – Best of the Southeast Collaboration Beer

  • Helen – Best of the Southeast Dark/Munich Lager

"We are honored by this recognition from the USBTC judges," said Wild Heart Brewing representatives. "These awards reflect the dedication and craftsmanship of our entire brew crew."

The United States Beer Tasting Championship conducts multiple competitions annually, with professional tasters evaluating beers based on appearance, aroma, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall impression. Regional "Best of" awards recognize outstanding beers from specific geographic areas, with winning breweries receiving certificates of achievement.
