Wild Heart Brewing Wins Four Medals at the 2026 South Carolina Brewers Cup
Hartsville, SC – Wild Heart Brewing Company took home four medals at the 2026 South Carolina Brewers Cup, our state's largest and most prestigious beer competition, at an awards ceremony held Monday, September 21, 2026, at Craft and Draft Irmo. This year's competition was the largest in the event's history, drawing more than 300 beer entries judged blind by certified tasters across more than 20 categories.
Wild Heart Brewing earned recognition in four categories:
Southie – Gold, Stout
Tmavé Pivo – Gold, International-style Dark Lager
Prana – Silver, International-style Pale Lager
Weight of Sound – Bronze, Specialty Beer

The awards were presented the night before the South Carolina Brewers Guild's annual Conference and Trade Show, held Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 701 Whaley in Columbia. Our Head Brewer, Jerry Rivers, and his wife Lindsey received the awards with other friends of Wild Heart Brewing that travelled to Irmo for the event.
"I'm glad to see Southie finally get some love," said Zach Riner, Co-Founder at Wild Heart Brewing.
"Yeah, it's about time somebody else noticed how good my favorite beer is," added Co-Founder Casey Hancock.
Rivers currently serves on the Guild's Board of Directors, and Hancock serves on the Guild's legislative subcommittee.
Wild Heart Brewing also congratulates this year's Best of Show winners: Rocker's Brewing (Gold, Wingardium Limey Gose), Replay Brewing (Silver, EZ Baked), and Indigo Reef Brewing Company (Bronze, Duke It Out).
