Hartsville brewery featured in Summer 2026 issue's annual hop-focused Review Report
HARTSVILLE, SC — Wild Heart Brewing Company is proud to announce that its Galactic Kingdom Hazy IPA has been featured and scored 91 points in the Summer 2026 issue of Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine, the nation's premier publication "for those who make and drink great beer." The issue, which hit newsstands on May 14, 2026, is available now.
The recognition appears in the magazine's Summer 2026 Fields of Joy issue, an annual deep-dive into hops and the beers that showcase them. Galactic Kingdom was selected as one of 175 beers tasted and scored by the magazine's panel of reviewers and editors, appearing alongside standout hazy IPAs from breweries across the country.
Brewed with Rakau in the whirlpool and double dry-hopped with Rakau, Galaxy, Galaxy Abstrax, and Citra, Galactic Kingdom drew praise for its layered tropical character and full-bodied finish.
"On the nose, a limey tropical-fruit note with sweet candy, some grapefruit, and orange peel. It smells sticky and sappy," the magazine's reviewers wrote. "Flavors are pineapple and orange with a slight sweet malt note. The mouthfeel is creamy, sweet, and bitter with matching intensity."
The editors' tasting notes echoed the enthusiasm: "Orange and tropical-fruit aromas fill the glass. A full, rounded mouthfeel carries resinous pine and lasting bitterness, with a slight hop burn on the finish."
Galactic Kingdom's score broke down as follows: Aroma 12, Appearance 3, Flavor 17, Mouthfeel 4, and Overall 9.5, for a final score of 91 points. The beer pours at 7.4% ABV with 20 IBUs.
